New website for the Bogenschützen Raubling – built on a voluntary basis
Clubs live on volunteering – and sometimes you can help best with what you are good at anyway. For BSG Raubling e.V., our archery club with more than 180 members, I have rebuilt the entire website. On a voluntary basis, free of charge for the club.
What the new site can do
🐦⬛ “Rablinger” – the AI chatbot The club mascot answers questions about the club and archery – from training times to getting started as a beginner. Anyone interested in archery no longer has to reach someone first.
🏆 A ranking list that maintains itself More than 2,000 podium places since 2002 are recorded and can be analysed. The results are taken automatically from the official sources of the Gau, district and association – no more typing in by hand.
🎯 Archer database Every archer has an overview of their own: competitions, placings, development over the years.
📅 Dates, news, galleries Competition dates, reports and photo galleries – all in one place, just as readable on the phone as on the computer.
There are also dedicated sections for courses & events, elite sport, youth work and a full-text search across the whole site.
Why I did it
The club has more than 40 years of history and achieves a great deal – especially in youth work. A website that shows this and that doesn’t have to be updated by hand for every results list was long overdue. As a software developer this was a manageable effort for me, but a big step forward for the club.
